To give you an idea of the type of personalised experience Smartick provides: imagine twins in the same maths class working on Smartick. Although they are twins, each child has their own strengths and weaknesses and will have very distinct experiences. Smartick adapts to each child’s maths skills and learning pace, providing a unique and personalised learning journey.
2. Comprehensive Curriculum
Yes, our goal is to help children master the foundations of maths through daily practise, but Smartick works to go beyond mathematics. Our curriculum not only consists of arithmetic but children also practise logic, word problems, and coding! 3. Real-Time Adaptability
We don’t offer pre-loaded exercises that are provided regardless of their needs and capability. As children work on their sessions, Smartick is constantly analysing their sessions in real-time to propose the most appropriate exercises. This means that Smartick adapts to each child and the level of difficulty is entirely dependent on the child’s performance during their session. Unlike Mathletics, children don’t have the ability to choose the topics they work on. Allowing kids to select the maths content they work on and expecting it will be productive is like bringing them to McDonald’s and hoping they’ll order a salad. Smartick avoids this dilemma. We help children fill in their learning gaps and allow them to work beyond school, by feeding them the exact maths needed.
4. Independent Learning
Children are encouraged to be independent learners and thinkers through Smartick’s unique curriculum and methodology. While working on Smartick, interactive tutorials are presented to the student to guide them through new content or review a concept. These tutorials provide an interactive learning space, where children must participate in order to progress through the tutorial. This interactive learning provides a more effective and personalised learning experience.
5. Immediate Feedback
What exactly is feedback? Feedback is important, especially for young learners and we understand it to be the comments given to students once they complete a task. With Smartick, we are constantly providing immediate feedback by providing the correction in real-time for a more effective approach. In addition to increasing learning effectiveness, this automatic correction reduces the need for parents to spend time correcting the work. Of course, we still very much encourage parent participation but instead of having to correct the work itself, parents can review the completed session (with the corrections already made) and provide a deeper explanation or overall review if needed.
